The more we wash our hair, the drier it may get. And if you are living in a area with dry hair, you probably would like to get some protective hairstyles so we can fight the dryness that comes with the weather. It is a good idea to incorporate other products in your hair care regimen so you can keep your hair as moisturized as possible. So, here are some options you can try that will do wonder to your hair. And don’t forget, the key to beautiful and shiny hair is Moisture!

1- Shea moisture, coconut & hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie:

It’s purpose is to moisturize and define thick and curly hair and it does the job perfectly. This is one of my favorite natural hair products because it’s difficult to fine something that makess your kinky hair smooth and moisturized. It is specifically made for textured hair.

This smoothie is a blend of: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Juice, Water, Glycerin (Vegetable), Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*‰ª´, Cetrimonium Chloride, Polysorbate 60, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Oleth-10, Panthenol, PEG-150 Stearate, Steareth-20, Mangifera lndica (Mango) Seed Butter, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hydrolyzed Silk, Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis Flower Extract, Tocopherol, Melia Azadirachta Seed Oil, Fragrance (Essential Oil Blend), Triethyl Citrate, Caprylyl Glycol, Benzoic Acid *Certified Organic Ingredient.I like using it all the time on my kinky hair because it makes it so much easier to manage and they look way healthier ever since I started using this hair line( along with a healthy regimen also). As soon as you put that thing in your hair and you use a Denman brush to distribute the product, it starts melting and defining curls. Try it and you won’t regret it!

2-Nexxus, moisturizing conditioner

Oh I’m telling you that thing is good and here are the ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Caviar Extract, Behentrimonium Chloride, Fragrance (Parfum), Dipropylene Glycol, Lactic Acid, Amodimethicone, Trehalose, Gluconolactone, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Potassium Chloride, DMDM Hydantoin, Disodium EDTA, PEG-7 Propylheptyl Ether, Cetrimonium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Actin, Adipic Acid, Sodium Sulfate, Hydrolyzed Roe, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.Even though I wouldn’t recommend using it all the time specially if you like using a lot of products on your hair because of the Dimethicone, I think it’s rich in moisture can help your hair fight dryness. My best tips for this products is to buy it at target, walmart or amazon instead of a store because it’s a lot cheaper. Also, make sure you use a cleansing shampoo once a month so you don’t have products buildup. The big bottle makes it easier for me to be generous, using it all the way at the end first before distributing the product in my whole hair.I like using it as:- Prepoo (to help detangle my hair before shampooing, this step usually helps minimize breakage)- Conditioner ( I Leave it on for 6 minutes so it can work its magic)- Or as part of my deep conditioner (to add extra moisture to my natural products when making DIY)
