You never thought breastfeeding was challenging. Watching a movie picturing the perfect lifestyle of a mom makes you think that it’s all possible. I mean who would think that it wouldn’t be easy to breastfeed your baby exclusively once you become a mom?But once you jump on board and God blesses you to have a tiny little human in your life, you realise that life just got a little more complicated. Your routine changes, your diet changes and your habits have changed. And one thing that can get very frustrating in the middle of this beautiful chaos that can be motherhood is: Breastfeeding….
Yes, it’s amazing and very rewarding but if you have low milk supply you soon start comparing yourself to other “successful'” moms, and you start thinking that maybe you are not doing a good job. Trust me, I’ve been there too. I had no idea how to get my milk supply to increase from 0.5 ounces each time I pump to over 8 ounces per session. Until I discovered that some food help you with lactation and some dry out your milk supply. And that’s when I discovered Lactation cookies.

Lactation cookies have 3 main ingredients that makes them successful at increasing milk supply for many new moms: Oatmeal, Brewer’s Yeast and Flaxseed. So if you wanna skip anything in this recipe, it should’nt be those.
Why Oatmeal for Milk supply?
Oatmeal is rich in iron, an essential vitamin for breastfeeding moms. It may also help decrease your cholesterol, blood sugar and stress level. Oatmeal is also known to help with a healthy heart.
Why Brewer’s yeast for milk supply?
Brewer’s yeast is included in everything made for lactation due to it’s high level of protein, vitamins and minerals. It has amino acids and chromium. Chromium enhances insulin function and helps with protein, carbohydrates and fat metabolism.
Why Flaxseed for milk supply?
It is a superfood not only because it is rich in omegas but it also has the properties to increase your milk supply due to its estrogen content. It also gives you healthy fats and nutrients that will promote a child’s brain development.

MAGICALLY LACTATION COOKIES
What you gonna need?
3 cups of oats
1 cup Almond flour Buy it here
1/2 Cup Coconut flour Buy it here
6 Tsp Brewer's yeast Buy it here
1 Cup Coconut Sugar Buy it here
1/2 cup organic cane sugar Buy it here
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3/4 Cup Unsalted butter
1/4 cup Coconut oil Buy it here
2 eggs and 1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup of chocolate chips
-Preheat the oven to 350°C
- Phase A:
mix together the dry ingredients in a large bowl:
Oats, Almond Flour, Coconut flour, Brewer’s yeast,
Ground flaxseed, Baking powder, Cinnamon powder, Salt
– Phase B:
In another bowl whisk the butter and the coconut oil.
Add the coconut sugar and the cane sugar
Then add one egg at a time.
Finally, add the vanilla extract.
– Mix phase A and Phase B
– Place on a baking sheet and Bake them until golden brown) It should take no more than 30 mns)
